Dividend income for December 2019

Although my journey towards financial independence started in February 2019, I will only start posting my monthly income from December 2019. I will give the raw data of the dividends received and the yearly income so far.

As you can see the oil and gas sector is overly represented in December. I will want to rebalance my portfolio by purchasing more shares that pay in the third quarter. I’m thinking of McDonalds, Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson, 3M, …. . There are so many quality dividend stock to choose from. I will keep you up to date in which company my hard-earned cash will be invested in.

Without further ado I will lay down the income that I have received. The amounts are all in Euro’s pretax and before the transaction costs.

I have sold my Cineplex shares after Cineworld announced that they were going to take over the company for 34 CAD per share. I have decided to sell my shares after the deal represented good value for money and it gave me a nice profit of around 200 Euros.

Last year I have made a total of 548,65 Euro’s in dividends. This equates to 45,72 Euros per month and 1,50 Euro’s a day. The goal for 2020 is to collect 900 Euros in dividends.

I think it is ambitious and realistic target. I will monitor how the year goes and adjust the target if it is not ambitious or realistic enough.
